We are entering a new phase in American history with threats and actions of Black history being erased from our education systems, from elementary schools all the way up to military academies. It is up to us to continue educating our youth and each other that 𝗕𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗸 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗜𝗦 𝗔𝗺𝗲𝗿𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗻 𝗵𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆.
May this month continue to inspire us to achieve greatness, but also take time to rest. As Lena Horne said, “It’s not the load that breaks you down, but the way you carry it.” Keep your head held high. We will always persevere. It’s in our blood!
